From 2005-2009, I wrote a weekly column for David Atlanta Magazine, recounting with humiliating candor the successes and failures of my dating life. Along the way, it became about a lot more than that, as I developed a network of misfit friends who truly became a family. Necessary Luxuries is the chronicle of that time. I tried to fill in the gaps between columns where more deserved to be said, told the truth where I might have lied the first time around, and made the remaining lies more convincing. Also, each little story is maybe four or five pages, so it's great reading for the bathroom. The AUDIO BOOK is available on iTunes and other fine purveyors of sound. It's not just me- It's a menagerie of extraordinary actors lending their talents to creating short radio plays. Great for the car, or the gym, if you're into that kinda thing. Think of it like a Prairie Homo Companion.
